Trying out “Moves” – activity tracking without gadgets

I’m a fan of activity tracking gadgets and it shows.  I currently wear two activity tracking wristband and contemplate getting another one.  I am fascinated by the self-tracking data generated by these gadgets and I wear it as a piece of statement. At times, I get upset if there’s “missing data” when I accidentally forget to wear them. At parties, I can talk at lengths, give recommendations and compares the different gadgets on the market.

In July this year, I heard an interview on Quantified self podcast of Sampo Karjalainen, the founder of Moves and I am truly impressed. Despite my fascination with gadgets, I think gadget-less tracking like Moves will reach a much wider population of target users and with higher adoption rate.
